Each year from November 1-11th, Memorial Drive is set up with crosses to honour the sacrifice of 3500 Southern Albertans, and acknowledge the 120,000 Canadians who have given their lives for our freedom.

You are invited to visit this moving memorial and pay your respects to these local heroes. Many of the crosses have bios that allow you to learn more about the individual honoured. You are encouraged during your visit to use the following words of gratitude: “Rest In Peace Dear Hero For Our Land Is Free”

On November 10^th a special candlelight tribute is observed with a lit candle at each cross.

We encourage you to pass on your gratitude for the sacrifice of so many as we approach Remembrance Day. Whether it be a walk through the Field of Crosses, attending a Remembrance Day Ceremony, honouring a Veteran in your life, or making a donation. Lest we Forget.
