Sympathy gift baskets are possibly the most difficult to choose. What can we possibly say or do to make things better? The reality is that during a time of grief all you can do is let your friends, family and associates know that you are thinking about them.
Local grief counsellor Kati Hatch has kindly provided us with a few tips related to helping friends during their time of grief. Her guidance during times of grief is that it is good to remember to honour the person who is no longer with us. The relationship is very different, but it is not over. She advises that self-care during this time is very important, and with a smile, says “chocolate has great healing properties”.
