Job Description

The primary responsibility of the Designer of Memorable Moments is to help the Design Team serve its Guests in design, wrapping, fulfilling of orders, design room maintenance, inventory and other tasks as required. As a member of the Design Team, this role engages with all team members and reports directly to the Supervising Designer. 

The Designer of Memorable Moments also serves as a client care representative, fostering relationship with our guests by phone, email, and online.

This is a Junior Full-Time position with opportunity for growth and advancement along with the growth of the company.

Key Daily Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

Order Desk, Design Room, and Inventory:

Ø  Daily mastery of the order desk to ensure the best guest experience processed online, by email and phone orders; fulfilling custom requests (designing and wrapping); delivery dispatch; shopping management; tracking tasks; processing payments

Ø  Fulfilment of the entire design process, and completing orders in timely manner

Ø  Design room maintenance

Ø  Help with the maintenance of the design room including cleaning, stocking shelves, and packaging of food products

Ø  Must be able to lift boxes up to 40lbs

Guest Care/Sales:

Ø  Required to participate in lead generation through corporate and personal sales campaigns, including outbound warm/cold calls, inbound leads, follow-up calls/emails

Attributes of This PERSON:

The ideal candidate is a self leader who takes initiative to complete daily tasks according to company standards. This person is required to be independent, self-motivated, and organized. They should be able to work in a collaborative environment with other staff members and champions the respectful and positive culture of The Gift Designers. It is essential that this candidate is a team player with a high level of integrity who values the Team’s success as much as their own. In guest relations, it is critical that this candidate treats all guests with respect and continuously exhibits the core values of the company.

Ø  Proven experience in customer service

Ø  Demonstrated ability and comfort with support customers over the phone

Ø  Proficient interpersonal skills

Ø  Goal oriented with the capacity to take initiative and work independently

Ø  High attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions

Ø  Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Ø  Proven ability to learn and adapt quickly to new software

Ø  Competent hand coordination & dexterity and enjoys being creative

Starting Salary Range: $37,000 - $42,000

Benefits: Commission/Bonuses on Sales, Family/Friends discount, Health Plan after probationary period.

Job Location: 5718 Burbank Crescent SE, Calgary, AB, T2H 1Z6

Work Hours: Monday – Friday 8 – 430pm (additional peak season hours required)
