Wanna throw the best flapjack, boot stompin’, cowboy wranglin’ Stampede event this year? Here are some last minute tips to help make your event one for the books!:

1. Have a Back-up Plan.

   As we all know, weather is never a sure thing in Calgary. Don’t let a downpour ruin your yee-haw; have a back-up plan in your back jean pocket!

2. Spread the Good News.

   Get aggressive with advertising your party – last minute blasts to social media, website, posters, flyers, news outlets, and anything else you can think of. People are always looking for free Stampede events during the season, so be sure to get yours on those key lists (if it’s free!).

3. Point the Herd in the Right Direction.

   On the big day, be sure to have plenty of signage pointing people towards parking, washrooms, food line ups, etc. There’s nothing worse than having a lost herd of sheep wandering around your field trying to find the nearest outhouse or another party!

4. Give a token of appreciation.

   This is important. Giving your guests a little something to take home is the key to creating lasting impact and will be a pleasant reminder of what an awesome, knee-slappin’ time they had at your event.
