I’ve been part of The Gift Designers’ story in some way or another since 2007. What started as a little extra help during the hustle and bustle of the holiday season has morphed many times. Over the years, I’ve had the chance to work full-time with the team, and now, I get to support this amazing group through communications while balancing my full-time role as an administrator at a local junior high school.

What I love most about my role here is celebrating our people: the team, our guests, and our community. It’s my joy to help share the heart behind what we do and to bring a sense of connection and tradition to The Gift Designers. I love bringing up memorable moments, revisiting the stories that have shaped us, and holding on to the traditions that make this place so special.

While I can jump into a wide variety of tasks, I am apparently the only designer who cannot stand having glitter on my hands from holiday ribbons! While the rest of the team seems to embrace the sparkle season, I’ll do just about anything to keep my hands glitter-free. You’ll hear me clapping my hands at regular intervals to rid myself of any lingering flecks.

I am fond of spending time outdoors, camping and exploring nature, hanging out with my family and friends, or traveling to new places whenever I get the chance. My school job has recognized these passions and has incorporated many of my favourite things into my role. I also love curling up with a good book or going on long walks with my dog Juno. Life is good and I’m grateful to love what I do for work!

For me, The Gift Designers has always been about so much more than beautifully designed gift baskets. It’s about people, relationships, and the meaningful memories we create along the way. I’m so grateful to have played even a small part in this journey.

Even after all this time, it still brings me so much joy to help tell our story and keep our traditions alive… just preferably without the glitter.
