Love Languages - Acts of Service
We’ve been talking about Random Acts of Kindness, at The Gift Designers, and in our brainstorming we started discussing that it could all tie in to peoples’ Love Languages. There are 5 Love Languages as defined by Gary Chapman, Ph.D., in his book The 5 Love Languages: The Secret to Love That Lasts.
Dr.Chapman outlined five key ways of communicating love.  While we can all demonstrate our love in a variety of ways this book identifies your Primary Love Language. This is the go-to language of love that you are most fluent in. Recognizing your go-to and the top love languages of the people in your life will help you identify the most meaningful offerings of love and better understand other's needs and support their growth.

Today we’ll give a couple tips on the Love Language Acts of Service

People with Acts of Service as their Primary Love Language feel loved and supported when people demonstrate their love with their actions. Running errands, helping out, surprising them with their favorite things, doing a task so that you make this person’s life easier are all rich expressions of love. Having someone in their corner who can be counted on for backup fills this person up!
Picking up their favourite snack, putting their preferred music on, scheduling a massage, booking the restaurant, and just making a cup of coffee all are ways you can clearly communicate love.

Paying attention to the details goes a long way when it comes to speaking the Acts of Service love language.
