Diet?..... What Diet?

Accepting who you are; mentally, emotionally, and especially physically is incredibly challenging. There are a host of influences coming at you left, right, and centre to dictate what you should and should not look like. There is an insane amount of dieting trends telling you what you should and should not eat. There is the Whole30 diet, Ketogenic Diet, Low-FODMAP, Intermittent fasting, Mediterranean, DASH, MIND, and the list goes on and on and on. Where does it end?

While we absolutely believe that it is important to foster a healthy lifestyle and honour your body, which includes what you eat, we also don’t believe in fad diets and restricting yourself beyond your capacity. It is just not realistic. So today, we are here to celebrate International No Diet Day!! Quick plug: our gifts feature a variety of impressive snack items, the most amazing of which, are made by local vendors! What better way to say I love you than with a gift full of lovely treats?

The truth is that everyone is different and therefore society cannot mimic or clone the “ideal” body type. And what is considered ideal anyways? We are of the belief that as long as you are in optimal health, you’re on the good foot.

So at least for today, and one day only, let’s drop the notion of dieting. Set goals, not limits!
