My Dad pays attention to all of the possible risks in life and I’m sure that attention to detail has prevented many disasters over the years. My Dad has not only helped me avoid some messes but has solved more than a handful of my “emergencies”. Many of my phone calls or texts over the years have started with, “I need your help.” Some examples include the day before a family wedding when I loaded up my truck only to discover a very flat tire. I know how to change a tire but could not for the life of me loosen those lugnuts that day. Dad to the rescue! 

There have been plenty of plumbing disasters, electrical questions, weird car noises, tax form inquiries, and general how do I requests over the years. If I need to figure something out or need a hand with the hard stuff I always can count on Dad to the rescue!  

He never shows up in a cape but he’s a hero and when he says “Well there you go, it’s fixed” I know he’s really saying “I love you.”
